Take a walk on the green side with YIP! Drinks and food will be served.

We hear a lot about green cities and clean economies. These concepts are already shaping the city we live in, but most of us have little hands-on experience with them. Join Young Involved Philadelphia, the Next Great City, Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania, the City of Philadelphia Office of Planning and the Philadelphia Horticultural Society for a guided hands-on tour of what sustainability really means for you and for Philadelphia.

As part of the two-week State of Young Philly conference, the Sustainable Philly Walking-Tour will take you to key sites in Center City where green technology and sustainable thinking are already impacting our lives. The evening will culminate with free drinks and hors d’oeuvres as we discuss which priorities are most urgent for Philadelphia at the PHS Pop-Up Garden at 20th & Market.

Tickets are available online and space is extremely limited – reserve your spot now.

The evening will begin in front of the PECO building on Walnut. Stops on the tour will include Penn Park and the PECO green roof.

Partnering Organizations:
PennFuture
Clean Air Council
Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania
