State of Young Philly (SOYP) is an annual event series held in the fall that brings together over 25 organizations and 2,000 young professionals, elected officials, organizational leaders, and millennials. SOYP 2018 will focus on what civic engagement means to young Philadelphians. Proposed SOYP events should aim to answer the question "What is civic engagement?", and should consider how we as young Philadelphians can drive civic engagement both as individuals and through community efforts. State of Young Philly 2018 will be held from October 11-20, 2018.
State of Young Philly is a collaborative effort between Young Involved Philadelphia and the greater Philadelphia community. We welcome you to join us as we work to engage, to connect, and to represent young Philadelphians across the city, helping them become better citizens and equipped to inspire change in Philadelphia.YIP is a non-partisan organization and State of Young Philly is looking for RFPs that represent the range of affiliations present in Philadelphia.
Join the YIP Board at an informal info session for interested partners on June 12 at the Free Library. You will hear about the goals for SOYP2018, learn more about the RFP process and have time to ask all of those burning event planning questions.
