ABOUT ABOUT

Tickets are sold out but will be available at the door on a first come, first served basis.

After a very successful event during State of Young Philly, Born to Run is back by popular demand!

Held at the Free Library, Born to Run 2.0: Building Your Base is a follow-up to Born to Run: A Beginners Guide to Running for Office. As we saw, young people in Philadelphia are entering the new year with a hunger for civic engagement and political activism. We hope to channel this energy in part two of our Born to Run series by bringing together local organizers to share ideas and make plans for action. Whatever is on your agenda for 2017--whether you are running for office or organizing your neighbors, this is an opportunity to connect with others around shared interests and work together to advance those interests.

Our feature panel offers varied perspectives on building community support for social and political goals through community engagement and political organizing. We invite you to come learn from local leaders who have been pushing for change in their communities and hear about the issues your neighbors are championing.

Panelists Include:
Jasmine Sessoms, She Can Win
Jen Devor, Committeeperson
Jeff Hornstein, Philadelphia Crosstown Coalition
Jon Geeting, Philly 3.0

Doors open at 6 pm and the panel begins at 6:30 pm.
