On Election Day, May 19th, Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) will be hosting its very first #YoungPHLVotes Happy Hour from 6pm to 9pm at the Field House. In order to celebrate your dedication to making it out to the polls, and ramp up excitement for election results to be announced, YIP will provide one free drink from the Happy Hour menu to every millennial who shows up proudly wearing an ‘I Voted’ Sticker!
While YIP petitioned to have drinks named after each candidate using mixology representative of the candidate and their platform, we tabled the idea after a long argument about whether or not using an appletini to stand for a strong foundation in education would be sending the wrong message.
Due to this disagreement, the Field House will be offering $3 Bud Light and Goose Island 312, $5 Mixed Drinks, and $6 House Red and White Wine to all attendees.
So mark your calendar and bring your friends as well! Bonus points to those individuals who drag a non-voting friend to the polls and brings them out to drink after. This will be a great night to talk to current members of YIP about ways to become more civically involved as well as engage in friendly debate about the future of our city!
